Flexibility is a way to remove the rigidity of a type for the appearance of objects. In some cases, it is useful to change the appearance of a particular object instance; this might be the case, for instance, when an object needs to be highlighted.

To set a type Flexible, check the check-box in the Type Properties window.

When the type is Flexible, the appearance of object instances becomes modifiable. The users can now call Graphical Properties by right-clicking on the object.

It is possible to remove the Flexible property even after you have created instances of this type; however, all the customizations of object appearances will be lost.
