Coping a filter will create a new filter based on the definition of the copied one. The checked rules as well as the defined properties are conserved.

When copying a filter, the positions of objects in the Internal Block Diagram are conserved. This is often very useful when dealing with big projects with hundreds of objects that would otherwise have to be reorganized each time a new projection is created.

If you copy the filter linked to the default projection, the former will remain the default filter (there can be only one default filter at a time).

To copy a filter, use the Copy Filter command from the right-click menu of the filter in question and choose a name for the new filter. The copied filter is added to the root (or to the active filter folder). It is also possible to copy subfilters.
