Variants and variant folders can be created, modified and deleted in the Variants Manager window. You can access this window using the Variants Manager button 
in the Manage Options, Variants, Phases Panel of the Configuration Management Category. The window displays a tree of variant folders and variants. The options tree is displayed under each variant. The check-boxes next to each choice define the relevant choices for the variant.
From the right-click menu of the root (Variants), you can
- Add a new variant folder
- Add a new variant
Form the right-click menu of a folder, you can
- Add a new variant folder
- Add a new variant
- Remove the folder
You can rename the folder using the F2 shortcut when the folder is selected (a simple mouse click). Rename can also be found in the right-click context menu.
From the right-click menu of a variant, you can
- Copy variant - this will create a new variant as a copy of selected variant
- Remove the variant
- Make it the default variant

From the right-click menu of multiple selected variants you can
- Merge selected variants - this will create a new variant with options set as OR of options in selected variants
Also, it is possible to move variants between variant folders and to/from the root (Variants) by drag & drop a desired variant.
From the tree under a variant, you can modify the definition of the variant by checking and unchecking the check-boxes.
