There are two ways to automatically color flows in arKItect SEA:
- Color physical flows according to there "detailed type" (an attribute to specify the type of physical flows : Electric, Mechanic, Thermic, ...)
- Color all flows (data and physical) according to their allocation to physical interfaces
Colors are not always easy to be displayed in arKItect since they are often grouped into one link.
The best option to display flow colors on separated links is to use the "MatDraw" tab (make sure the option "Group according to color" is checked in the Matdraw preferences)
Color physical flows
This tool colors only the physical flows (not the data flows). The colors are done according to the value of the attribute "Flow detailed type".
It is accessible in the projections where the flows are displayed (example: "3.1. Define functional architecture", "5.1. Allocate functions on components").
Can be accessed using the Tools menu, or by using the "Project Tools" window (on the right side of the screen) :
Color flows according to parent interface
This tool colors all flow (physical and data) according to their allocation to physical interfaces.
A flow color is changed if:
- It is allocated to a physical interface
- The physical interface fill color is not default (which mean that the user did give a special fill color to the physical interface; default interface color is not inherited to flows)
This tool is accessible in the projections where the flows are displayed as exchanged between components (example: "5.1. Allocate functions on components", "5.2. Allocate flows on interfaces")
Similar to the "Color physical flows", this tool can be accessed using the Tools menu, or by using the "Project Tools" window.
